This week’s tip of the week is ZoomIt for Mac.
Windows users might already know ZoomIt from Microsoft’s Sysinternals Suite. It’s been a favorite for years, and now there’s finally a native macOS version.
If you ever find yourself saying, “Can everyone read that?” during a demo, livestream, or video call, this one’s for you.

Drawing with ZoomIt
ZoomIt for Mac lets you instantly zoom into any part of your screen while still interacting with it. You can also draw directly on your screen to highlight something without opening another app or awkwardly resizing windows.
Install it with Homebrew:
brew install --cask microsoft/sysinternalstap/zoomit
If you read my earlier tip about Snapzy, I’m still using it every day for screenshots, OCR, and recordings. ZoomIt doesn’t replace it. It fills a different niche by making live demos and screen shares easier to follow.
That’s it! Short and sweet. Until the next one!
