One Tip a Week: Raycast’s Auto-Join for Meetings

This week’s tip is for anyone who lives in their calendar (guilty). I’ve long loved Dato for its clean menu bar calendar and reminders—but lately, for meetings, I’ve been leaning on Raycast.

Raycast now surfaces your next event right at the top of the root search. Just hit ↵ and you’re instantly in the call—no more tab juggling. If the native app (like Zoom or Meet) is installed, it opens directly.

Even better: turn on Auto-Join to have Raycast automatically hop into meetings for you. By default, it’ll ask for confirmation, but you can disable that if your video app already does. You’ll find both options under My Schedule in Raycast settings.

Dato’s still my go-to for a quick calendar glance—but when it comes to joining calls, Raycast has become my quiet assistant. Also, like Dato, for the moment, this is a macOS only tip.

That’s it! Short and sweet. Until the next one!
